Rizal

Since I am obsess with the layback lifestyle in the province and my (travel) hubby also misses the countryside, we wanted to settle in a comparable place. Good thing my parents bought a house and lot in Rizal, particularly in Antipolo where we now (temporarily and hoping to acquire a lot of our own) resides. Aside from it’s a break away from nerve-cracking and brain-draining life in the metro, the proximity of where I work (Ortigas) and where my family dwells (Quezon City) is really an advantage.

Our home is a bungalow type of house in the center of the lot surrounded by plants, trees and grasses. There are trees that were planted more than 10 years ago like guyabano, indian mango and avocado which are now bearing fruits.  Other fruits and veggies were planted by my husband like okra, tomatoes, lemon, eggplant and papaya; supplementary food for our consumption. He also sowed flowers, orchids and blue grass in the rest of the grounds. At the back of the house, there’s a stream which I believe comes from hinulugang taktak. And we added pet dogs and birds completing my piece of heaven here on earth.

Rizal is the nearest Province from Manila aside from Bulacan in the North and Laguna and Quezon in the South. It is a refuge for nature and history lover, the mountainous area is good for hiking and climbing, the century old churches that have been preserve, nature-wonder falls and man-made resorts where people can enjoy the water especially during summer. Here is where you can see the breathtaking view of Manila skyline especially at night. Many people owe this place as their sweet escape since it is just a step away from the metropolis.

About pinay travelaholic

A Filipina who loves to travel. Born with a family of travelers and started traveling when she was just 2months old. Raised in the hustle and bustling life of the metro but has savored the laid back lifestyle of the countryside during summer vacations. At a very young age, she has experienced being stranded on a train for 3 days, being thrown inside the window of the bus just to save a seat and “top loaded” (riding on the roof) on a PUJ just to reach their destination. …Traveling became her adventure since then.
