My hubby needed to go back to Bicol because of his work in their town (he’s a councilor). At the same time, my parents who were vacationing in Butuan City arrived in Davao. So I took this chance to spend time with my relatives together with my parents. After bringing my hubby to the airport and fetching my parents somewhere in Ma-a Road, we went to Gaisano Mall.
We were at the mall the whole afternoon chatting and strolling. We went home having tasted Davao food such as pomelo, durian and mangosteen (from fruit to pastries and candies); learned a little of their dialect like “maayong buntag” (good morning), “dili” (no) and “palihug” (please); and was informed about some facts like they have the cleanest water in the country, pyrotechnic is banned especially during new year’s eve and it is a typhoon-free province (minding the effect global warming).
Our sincerest gratitude to our relatives Auntie Mars, Ate Rona and husband Kuya Edwin. They have not only welcomed us in their home, they were very caring and accommodating hosts. Not to forget my niece Justin, who is sweet and always in high spirit. We enjoyed our moment spent with you guys.
