“Beautiful Day”, Baguio, Benguet

I have been to this place a couple of times and in different circumstances: family excursion, friends jaunt, company outing and work related tasks like conducting training and administering recruitment.

You can go to Baguio by land from Manila passing through NLEX and three ways going up via Kenon Road, Marcos Highway and Naguilian Road. Some of the buses that head off to Baguio are Victory Liner, Dagupan Bus and Philippine Rabbit among others. Travel time is between 5-7hrs.

Wandering all over Baguio is inexpensive. You can ride jeepneys and fx taxi (less the aircon) at lowest amount fare. Taxi drivers’ even gives back change for excess fare.

 Well known tourists spots:

burnham park

baguio cathedral

minesview park

baguio grotto

There is also Session Road where most of the food and business establishments are located, SM Baguio where most of the stalls are non-aircon and the popular Ukay-ukay building where you can buy second-hand clothes and apparel at very low prices.

“It’s a beautiful day
Sky falls, you feel like
It’s a beautiful day
Don’t let it get away”

(Beautiful Day, U2)

Regardless of whatever reason of my trip, I always anticipate beautiful days going up and staying here. Seeing the majestic mountain, smelling different floras in bloom and feeling the cool breeze makes me feel euphoric and idyllic.

About pinay travelaholic

A Filipina who loves to travel. Born with a family of travelers and started traveling when she was just 2months old. Raised in the hustle and bustling life of the metro but has savored the laid back lifestyle of the countryside during summer vacations. At a very young age, she has experienced being stranded on a train for 3 days, being thrown inside the window of the bus just to save a seat and “top loaded” (riding on the roof) on a PUJ just to reach their destination. …Traveling became her adventure since then.
