Rediscovering Bicol: Naga City and CWC Tour

We left Caramoan (halfheartedly) and proceeded to Naga City. We had lunch at Biggs before starting our City Tour.

Aside from delectable chow, the ambiance and memorabilia brings nostalgia to oldies and enthusiasm to youngsters.

After stuffing our stomach with a delicious meal and satisfying our eyeball with astounding vista, we went to the famous churches along Naga:

Peñafrancia Shrine – the old dwelling place of Our Lady of Peñafrancia.

Peñafrancia Basilica Minore – the current residence of the image, a more spacious place for increasing number of devotees of “Ina”

Naga Metropolitan Cathedral – where the image is being transferred during the Peñafrancia Festival known as “Traslacion”.

We wrapped up our Naga City tour side tripping at Magsaysay Ave. (where most of the restaurants and bars are located) and ate dinner at Tribu Grill.

My friends stayed at Magic square inn while I and my travel hubby visited our relatives and slept at my grandmother’s house.

The next day we headed to CamSur Watersports Complex in Pili Camarines Sur.

CWC is a sports complex that has a lot of amenities like wakeboarding area, lagoon for kayaking and other water activities, swimming pool area, bar and restaurant, spa service and accommodation villas.

I have been to this place a couple of times but never had I had any interest trying out wake/knee boarding…until today.

learning the basic of wake boarding

and so i tried…

and i’ve made it!

almost…🙂

I’m glad my office mate pushed me (literally) to try it. Otherwise, I would have never felt the pleasure and satisfaction an extreme sport such as this can bring.
