December is always a busy month for me not only because its Christmas season but mainly for the reason that I am in-charge with our company Christmas Party and Family Day. The demand of all those activities is very exhausting, but this didn’t halt my passion for travel. So after all the company events, my family and I went to Zoobic Safari.
Zoobic Safari is the first safari here in the Philippines. It is situated inside Subic Bay Freeport Zone in Zambales.
Upon arrival, we went to the ticket booth to get our tickets. We bought our tickets by the way thru Metrodeal, an online shop with big discounts. Actual entrance fee for adult is P495 and we got it at P250. Kids 3ft and below are free of charge. There was a short briefing before the start of the tour, the do’s and don’ts and what is in store for us for the 2 and a half hour tour:
Bird’s Walk – different types of colorful and some talkative birds found here and abroad
Rodent World – enter the world of rodents, from small mice to big rats
Zoobic Park – a place for other animals and where you get to feed baby animals
Serpentarium – reptiles like snakes, lizards and even turtles are showcase here
Forbidden Cave –lifeless animals that were preserved for exhibit
Zoobic Cave – stuffed animals displayed for educational purpose
Savannah – various animals from ostrich to wild boar roam freely in this area
Tiger Safari – this is the main attraction of the zoo. Here, you will ride a screened vehicle and will get inside a vicinity where tigers wander.
Close Encounter – close encounter with tigers in cage
Aeta’s Trail – Aeta (natives of Zambales) showed their skills in hunting and the monkey dance
Croco Loco – there are at least 200 crocodiles being taken care of on this zoo
Aside from these attractions, they also offer other activities like the animal show, zipline and 3D movie among others.
The park opens daily from 8am-4pm.
