A Holy Week Special: Visita Iglesia

Visita Iglesia is where people would drop by 7 to 14 different churches during Lent. Some would perform the station of the cross in every church they visit as part of their penitence.

Naga, Camarines Sur

Three churches that are very near each other along Naga proper are the Basilica Minore of Penafrancia, Naga Cathedral and Penafrancia Shrine. All three churches are dedicated for the mother of all Bicolanos.

Bohol Province

Three well preserved churches that can be visited in Bohol are Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Duais, Immaculate Conception in Baclayon and St. Peter Church in Loboc. It was just heartbreaking seeing these churches torn apart with the recent earthquake that shattered Bohol.

About pinay travelaholic

A Filipina who loves to travel. Born with a family of travelers and started traveling when she was just 2months old. Raised in the hustle and bustling life of the metro but has savored the laid back lifestyle of the countryside during summer vacations. At a very young age, she has experienced being stranded on a train for 3 days, being thrown inside the window of the bus just to save a seat and “top loaded” (riding on the roof) on a PUJ just to reach their destination. …Traveling became her adventure since then.
