Singapore, My 1st Out of the Country Experience

Year 2011 when I and my travel hubby got hold of our first issued passport, and since it was the hyped of promo fares from several airlines, was able to score a cheap flight via Cebu Pacific. This was our first trip abroad and to keep me sane, we went to a country where we can be guided by someone we know. Singapore was an easy pick because it is where my sister-in-law is currently based.

Singapore is known as one of Southeast Asia country that has a high cost of living. Thanks to my sister-in-law for welcoming us to their abode, accommodation expense was deleted from our budget. For food, aside from home cooked dishes by my sister-in-law, we also tried authentic Singaporean dishes from a hawker place.

Tourist spots around Singapore are quite accessible, thanks to a very strategic railway system and organized bus stops.

About pinay travelaholic

A Filipina who loves to travel. Born with a family of travelers and started traveling when she was just 2months old. Raised in the hustle and bustling life of the metro but has savored the laid back lifestyle of the countryside during summer vacations. At a very young age, she has experienced being stranded on a train for 3 days, being thrown inside the window of the bus just to save a seat and “top loaded” (riding on the roof) on a PUJ just to reach their destination. …Traveling became her adventure since then. It’s true. You will never forget your first trip outside the Philippines. It’s fun and exciting. But it will also make you realize how beautiful our country, the Philippines, is. Enjoy ang trip mo with travel hubby. Hoping for more trips sa inyong dalawa.🙂
