Burias Island, Land Tour

You can reach Burias Island from Camarines Sur. It is an 8-hour bus ride from Manila and 2-hour boat ride from Pasacao port.

For accommodation, there is only 1 hotel in the town proper (Sunset View) with rates (for me is) quite high. But if you are a budget traveler (like me) you can always go to MSS Fuentes. There are also huts in Sombrero Island if you want to stay there overnight.

There are plenty of sights to see in the town proper; several ranches (so-called “Island of Ranches”), well-preserved ancestral houses, the “Balinsasayaw” house, home of more than 80,000 swiftlets and the St. Pascual Baylon Church, one of the oldest church in Masbate province.

About pinay travelaholic

A Filipina who loves to travel. Born with a family of travelers and started traveling when she was just 2months old. Raised in the hustle and bustling life of the metro but has savored the laid back lifestyle of the countryside during summer vacations. At a very young age, she has experienced being stranded on a train for 3 days, being thrown inside the window of the bus just to save a seat and “top loaded” (riding on the roof) on a PUJ just to reach their destination. …Traveling became her adventure since then.
